Hungary Striker Barnabas Varga Stable in Hospital After Fracturing Cheekbone
Barnabas Varga Injured in Euro 2024 Clash
Hungarian striker Barnabas Varga is stable in hospital after suffering a fractured cheekbone in a mid-air collision during Hungary's Euro 2024 clash with Scotland.
Varga was taken from the field on a stretcher after the incident, which occurred in the first half of the match. He was taken to a nearby hospital and was diagnosed with a fractured cheekbone.
The Hungarian Football Federation said in a statement that Varga is "stable and conscious" and that he will remain in hospital for observation.
Varga's injury is a blow to Hungary, who are already without several key players for the tournament. The team is scheduled to face Slovakia in their next match on Tuesday.
We wish Varga a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the pitch soon.
